Bev has been a long-time employee of The Salvation Army with her career spanning several roles and locations within the organization. In her role as the church Office Administrator, Bev is often the first contact for those seeking assistance, wanting to make a donation, or for those seeking council from the Pastors. Her clam demeanor and servant heart ensures anyone who enters our church feels welcomed, heard, and helped.
Maddison joined the Edmonton Temple team in April of 2017. Her role as the Community Ministries Worker focuses on how Edmonton Temple can be the hands of Jesus Christ extended into the community. She routinely assists clients in meeting their most basic of needs and is an asset to this church as we seek to be relevant in our community. In addition to working with clients, she represents the Salvation Army Edmonton Temple in a variety of community councils and committes.
Captains Fred and Carolyn Reid moved to Edmonton from Bracebridge, Ontario and took leadership of the Salvation Army Edmonton Temple in June 2016. Together, they have 2 young daughters, Hallie and Adelle, and enjoy a very busy life.
Captain Fred grew up in a small town in Newfoundland and came to faith at a young age there. He has since become a student of the Word and loves to talk about the Bible and how it's message is just as relevant today as when it was originally penned. Fred loves the outdoors, sports, and music and can often be found humming a tune or strumming a guitar.
Captain Carolyn has embraced being a mom and a pastor. She too loves God's word, and enjoys preaching and teaching from it. Carolyn holds a music degree from Memorial University in St. john's Newfoundland and enjoys playing piano. Since moving to Edmonton, Carolyn has discovered a love of baking - much to the delight of her family!
Edmonton Temple's governance operates under the 'Mission Board' model. This model tasks volunteers with oversight to specific areas of the church. Each Director is responsbile for a department within the church, and is accountable in their role to the Pastors.
The Mission Board serves as an advisory board to the Pastor.
